2004-03-02 - 4.09pm previous entry next entry Wow it feels like ages since I wrote an entry here! Thank you for the lovely guestbook messages! :) It is going to be hard to write here without going over things that I say in my pregnancy journal, although I'm going to try not to! At the moment I don't have much else to say because wow, I'm pregnant, and that is just sooooo mind-bogglingly exciting right now!!! Just for this diary's record, I am due November 5th. After I have my baby, I think I will stop writing in my other diary, and write my whole life here again, all the mummy/baby stuff and everything. I have wondered what to do about that for ages, because I keep seeing other people's pregnancy journals become journals about being a mother to their new baby, and their main diary continues for other things in their life. But I just KNOW I am gonna have very little to write about here after I have my baby! Plus I think I would like the ease of journalling in one diary, rather than logging in and out with different usernames and trying not to repeat myself! So that is sort of why I picked the name "alicesbaby" for my pregnancy journal. It means that I can use it for each pregnancy that I have, because it isn't going to be specific to one baby. When I have my babies I can carry on writing about them here in my normal diary. When I get pregnant again I can dust off the ole pregnancy journal and start again! Ooh the phone's ringing.... Okay, just had a nice long chat with my mummy! :) I think pregnancy is probably the best thing to happen to me, as far as my anxieties and general control-freak issues go. I am finally having to learn that I absolutely cannot control what is happening to me, and even if there's some scary possibilities, I am just going to have to go with the flow and accept that I am not in control. Today I feel nice and calm, even with the worry about miscarriage in my mind, which is amazing for me! God is in control of my life, and that's that. I like it that way :) Well what else can I say? We are back from France. Neil is working in London (central) for a few weeks (except Tuesdays because of his study), which is a pain in the neck because of the commute, and his company just told them yesterday there will be redundancies coming up. Great. But not that surprising. This company sucks. The weather is soooo nice! We woke up to snow yesterday morning!! Okay so it was only a thin layer on the roofs and tops of cars, but oh well, it was SNOW!! :) Of course it all melted by the afternoon. Today it is sunny and beautiful and my daffodils are bright and cheerful in my front border outside. Apparantly it's gonna get windy and rainy and overcast soon. Don't I write about exciting things? I can't think of what else to say now, but I will keep updating here as I think of things to talk about that aren't to do with pregnancy! For a while I'm not sure how often that will be, but I know after a while I will get into the groove of this pregnancy thing, and will eventually have room in my head for other things! Then I am sure I'll write more often. I write daily in my pregnancy journal, usually long entries about all sorts (but all connected to being pregnant), so unless pregnancy journals bore you silly or you find them difficult to read, that's the place to check up on me if you haven't seen an entry here for a while. The link is in my bar at the top there. Prayers for Abby and Katia still much appreciated. Their diary links are a few entries back (sorry!). Abby now has complete liver and lung failure due to a liver virus, and things are not looking good for this sweet little girl. Please pray for a miracle. Katia is still recovering from her cord blood transplant. Please pray that her marrow will be 100% donor, and that her body doesn't start making it's own marrow again. She needs this to work to be free of leukaemia. These kids are soooo special and I love them. Well I hope everyone is fine! Will write again when I am less boring! ;) |
