2004-03-05 - 7.42pm previous entry next entry Hello! Don't get too excited. I am still pretty boring in this diary, but I thought I would update anyway :) I am ill. I have a virusy thing. It's so cool because since God healed me of M.E (nearly 2 and a half years ago now!) I have had only one virus!!! He has really blessed my immune system! But anyway, now I have my first virus since Sept. 2002. It started with a sore throat and I figured it was a cold, since I am kind of coldy, but it's a not-nice weird thing. I have a low fever today and just ache and hurt, and feel cold when I'm not, etc. Poo. But I think it's because I'm pregnant. Immune system changes and all that. I have spent today on the sofa with my duvet cover - I watched the whole 5 hours of Pride and Prejudice that I got for my birthday from my parents!!!! I love Pride and Prejudice. Well, this version of it anyway. I figure I will feel pretty naff over the weekend but hopefully I will start to pick up after that. I can't help but think of when I was ill, and how a normal cold put me in bed for months and months, just because my body couldn't cope with a virus. I don't think I will ever forget that, or experience a virus light-heartedly ever again. I am just so grateful that my body is well (in general) and will fight this bug off, and that I am not having to be scared of how many weeks/months I will be in bed feeling dreadful as a result. Phew. Thank you God for my healing. Man, do I ever mean that today!! Getting sick really brings back how grateful I am to be well (if that makes sense!). Normally I just can't STOP writing when I come to write an entry, but I am trying to think of things to write, and it's pretty much all pregnancy-related, so I won't write about that here. Which leaves me with.... not a lot else to talk about! Hmmm.... Very boring of me, sorry! Well this will have to be a short entry - Neil just brought me a light meal which I'm not that hungry for, so I'm going to nibble at it and maybe cosy down with a movie. I have the sweetest husband :) |
